Our PTFE rods are manufactured from 100% virgin polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) using either extrusion or molding processes, offering a full range of sizes from 5mm to 500mm in diameter and up to 3 meters in length. These PTFE bar materials exhibit top-tier chemical inertness, self-lubrication, non-stick properties, and thermal stability between -200°C and +260°C, making them ideal for sealing, insulating, and bearing applications under extreme conditions.
Extreme chemical resistance: Withstands strong acids, bases, and corrosive media
Self-lubricating surface: Friction coefficient as low as 0.05 for dry-running components
Non-stick and hydrophobic: Prevents material buildup and contamination
Wide temperature range: Maintains flexibility and performance from -200°C to +260°C
High electrical insulation: Dielectric strength up to 10 kV/mm
Low water absorption: Suitable for cleanroom and high-purity environments
Customization available: Diameters, lengths, and cuts can be tailored to your drawing
Sealing Components: PTFE rod blanks for chemical gaskets and valve seals
Self-Lubricating Bearings: Dry-run bushings for food-grade and pharmaceutical equipment
Electrical Insulation: High-purity PTFE rods for laboratory insulators and semiconductor jigs
Corrosion Linings: Rods used in piping supports and reactor linings in harsh chemical systems
Machined Components: Custom PTFE rod cuts for turning, CNC parts, or OEM plastic rod parts
Extruded PTFE Rod: Ideal for long, thin components; offers high density and low porosity
Molded PTFE Rod: Suitable for large diameters and high-load applications; machinable for secondary parts
Cut-to-Length Service: Available to meet your specific design or assembly requirements
Due to cold flow and creep behavior, PTFE rods are not ideal for high-pressure load-bearing parts unless reinforced or combined with metal frames. Use caution in dynamic sealing environments—additional components (e.g., spring energizers or metal cores) may be needed.
