Product Description

Our Modified Glass Fiber Filled PTFE Rod is engineered for demanding applications where pure PTFE falls short. Reinforced with 15%–40% glass fiber, it delivers exceptional mechanical strength, wear resistance, and dimensional stability, while retaining PTFE’s chemical inertness, non-stick properties, and self-lubrication.

Key Features

  • Enhanced Mechanical Performance: Glass fibers dramatically improve compressive strength, stiffness, and creep resistance.

  • Superior Wear Resistance: Outlasts virgin PTFE by 3–5 times in abrasive or dry running conditions.

  • Low Friction: Maintains PTFE’s ultra-low friction coefficient (0.1–0.2), ideal for dry-running or lubricated applications.

  • Exceptional Chemical Resistance: Inert to nearly all corrosive chemicals including strong acids, alkalis, and solvents.

  • Wide Temperature Range: Operates reliably from -190°C to +260°C, short-term peaks up to 280°C.

  • Excellent Insulation: High dielectric strength for electrical applications.

  • Low Water Absorption: <0.01%, ensuring stability in wet or submerged conditions.

Applications

  • Sealing Components: Rod seals, valve stem seals, rotary seals for pumps, compressors, and chemical valves under high pressure and temperature.

  • Bearings & Bushings: Dry or semi-lubricated sliding bearings in food processing, chemical, and pharmaceutical environments.

  • Wear Pads & Guides: Conveyor and machine guide rails requiring chemical resistance and low friction.

  • Valve Seats & Cores: Used in demanding valve applications in chemical and petrochemical industries.

  • Electrical Insulation Parts: For high voltage, high temperature environments.

  • Liners for Chemical Equipment: Sleeves for reactor stirrers, pump impellers, etc.
